Default Cookie Cutter Weight? 15x7?

I searched everything- no luck. Even googled.

How much do these guys weigh? I've found about every other wheel but no Cookie Cutters.

Try asking over on the 911 board. These wheels appeared on the 911 base model about 1974 and are often found on earlier cars that came with stamped steel wheels.

Found it about 12# for a 15x7 Cookie Cutter. Same as a Fuch of the same width.

I could have sworn the Fuchs was lighter.

I weighed a dirty 15x7 CC with the valve stem and it was 14lbs-3oz. This was with a shipping scale.

14? I'll take it. I have both- cookie cutter and Fuch the same size.

No scale though. I'm afraid if I buy one to weigh, my wife will get the impression it's for her and then I'll be in the doghouse.

You'll have to keep looking. I sold all 6 CC's with the 83 last year. I was surprised how light they were. I've never weighed a Fuch on the same scale so the numbers could be whacked. The scale was for up to 200 lbs and I have a hunch the lower scale isn't as accurate sort of like torque wrench. They are getting harder to find out here between the 944 Spec cars and VW people using them.

I meant 14 sounds good enough- I have the 4 I need.

I have 3 Fuchs, 2 8" for rears and the one 7" for the front. The match I needed went for $321 on Ebay. So some $50/pr cookie cutters for fronts and the one Fuch will either get Ebay'd or I'll make a table out of it for the game room.

The Phonies on the car now are 8x16 all around and are boat anchors at 20 lbs a corner.

I don't think so. Boat anchors are the Mille Miglia 993 Cups replicas in early offset. With a 255-40/17 tire mine weighed 53# each...they were actually hard to lift. If you can find straight CC's for $50/ea. buy me a set. That's cheap out here for good ones that haven't been abused or curbed.

I got the last pair from a local 944 breaker- both are rough. I have stripped them both and plan on at least getting the bead clean for tires.

The 944Spec/Cup has become a hot deal in town. I know at least one shop is cranking out Spec cars and will probably be using CCs since they're cheap.

53lbs. I doubt my car would turn such a wheel.
