OK, we are officially FULL for novice and advanced drivers. (Travis, handle that, would ya??) Anyone else registering who is below instructor skill level will be on the standby list. Since I expect a few cancellations, I've taken 14 advanced and 14 novice registrations. I have about 11 instructors signed up and I'm looking for just a couple more and then we are closed up.

As for you crazy "arrive Thursday" guys, well, power to ya, you will get the best camping spots. The event officially starts Friday Am (8ish?) so don't be surprised if it is kind of boring Thursday. Camping will be available, and I'll be around later setting up, but nothing official will happen.

I officially call the spot under the tree. (It's next to the bridge on the front straight.) Got that, gents?

Boring, Thursday? Nahhh.

Chris, I certainly could get her a ride, but as far as a "drive", I'm working hard to just get instructors lined up for students I have. At the moment, I can offer her nothing more than a standby list. You must really be in for the long run in this one, You haven't even driven yet you want her to? WOW!!! That's commitment!!!

Ian-I'm not sure which tree you like, but I think you know who gets dibs!

Ah-hah! You're right. Ummm...I call which ever side you don't park on!

I was referencing this tree, BTW:

You see that little green tent, right there? That's my tent. Since I will be arriving on Thursday - there is a high probability that little green tent will get set up in the same spot. Hope this doesn't spoil your plans...

You should be fine. From the looks of his little red box he's actually planning on sleeping in the road....

Well, no offense to ANYONE who may or may not have camped under that tree, but it is right next to the main entrance drive (when the track crossing is closed). I would expect a LOT of traffic passing within a few feet of that spot and actually driving right THROUGH Kid's red box. I'd expect a lot of dust, too. Jump to the far LEFT of that pic, then you've got some good spots. Chris and Melissa had the best spot IMHO, in the left most tent with a blue canopy. Other than my pick, it will be FCFS.

Thanks much for reviving this thread, I needed some motivation to get some work done!
