Reno, I'm not sure if you are joking or not.
In 2004- (Fishey Fest) 1/2 the pack got separated, missed a turn.
In 2005-(Ski Resort) 1/2 the pack missed a turn, got lost and and took a LONG drive.
In 2006-(Nelsons) Everyone had a map and had to make their own directions, nobody got lost that I know of. There was NOTHING quick about it, as Kid said it was 6 hours of navigating. (yikes!)

My intent in '06 was to slow down the pack by breaking them up. If you ever put a few together you will notice the pace quickens rapidly. Yea, I know I 'm supposed to be in the pace car, but if a car or group gets split off, what do they do to catch up? Yep, haul ****.

I suppose I could do a group drive with signage, well distributed route maps, frequent gathering stops, and promise public humiliation to those who get lost (and lead others astray). We could stay together, keep it tame, and burn some gas that way. Hmmmmm. These are very good for videos too.

2003 we all stayed together.. well pretty much.

the only real way to accomplish this is to have "corner workers" stationed throughout the course for directions- with radios to alert of a "public vehicle inserted in cruise" warning.

Well, I could always pick ONE road, drive 25 miles on it, and turn around. That way I don't think anyone would get lost. We'd still have that pesky boost thing trying to pry us apart.

Aside from getting half of us lost and hitting 85 on a gravel road, the 05 Fest cruise wasn't awful... You have to admit it was entertaining to drive around town, seeing other 44s frantically scrambling for their poker cards or answers on the question sheet, right?

I just registered. Going to send Dan a check and I am good to go. Looking forward to a great weekend. I think a group drive on Saturday would be fun. Maybe leave around 10 or 11 am then meet for lunch before heading back to the track. I know some great places to go within 50 miles of the track. Dan, if this sounds like something you are interested in pm me. I could set something up.

I'll take one when I get one. It's bad enough that I've gone to one Fest sans 944, but this year it looks like I'll be going to another one sans Porsche! I think my promise to Damian and the guys of "I'll be coming in a 944 come hell or high water" may go broken. Next year, perhaps, if we do this whole "Fest" thing again.

There may be a Galant there, though. I'll give those N/As a run for their money, lol.

Yup! Forget his handle on here, some guy from NY -- Dented the hell out of his rocker whole passenger side rocker panel -- I think IIRC he said he lurched into a ditch, freaked out, and almost over corrected into the one on the other side of the road!

ALthough with the gravel road it was almost amusing in a bittersweet way -- we were the twentieth car or so, so when we got to the straightaway we saw Dan's car pulling ahead -- and then Taillights! Taillights! TaillightsTaillightsTaillightsTaillightsTaillightsTaillights! Oops! Slight oversight in the route, but I agree, was still a blast.

the car from new york tried to pass someone in a right hand corner. When they got past the car, he over steered and ended up in a ditch on the inside of the corner. The car bouced off the bottom of the ditch and ended up back into the street w/ mud flinging all over the place. I was about a minute behind him.

Wouldn't know anything about that.... At least the dent isn't THAT noticeable. I'll see if I can post some pics later.
