Today was pretty slack as well.
I have outsourced the box fabrication so we will just have to wait on that.
The front of my tray is back with the seamstress so I figured I should start on the back.
Time to carpet my package tray.
I was thinking about being lazy and just painting the back of the tray black. But as soon as the thought crossed my mind a police cruiser whizzed by chasing a guy on a bicycle.
I was officially motivated not to be a lazy bum.
Laying the carpet was fun and easy too.
Finished,
I will trim the edges as soon as I put it in the car. Hopefully the front will be done tomorrow and i can call the package tray complete. yay!

YES!!!! Today is a great day, The tray is complete!!!!!!
I figured today would be a good day and it turned out great.
Heres the play by play....
Put the new tray front on and...
Oh dear. Its too long hmmm what to do?
I got it.. CUT IT!!
After I get my fittings I staple gun the carpet to the back ledge. I then hammer the staples to ensure their depth.
When working with unfamiliar projects its always nice to have a pro around. I'm a novice at fabrics so I call in a ringer.. Mom
She goes to work and has my seams in perfect order tucks and folds everything and I'm in good shape. Yay Mom! Dad even chips in
I believe I said I wanted to but a piece of plastic or something on the inside lip of my tray. While working today it seemed pointless and we decided to just use carpet instead. Looks great, Good idea mom.
Notice teh ends are covered (where it connects to teh car) as well. THe front now looks like one big piece.
Just like Kuhl i used the existing holes in the car so I didnt have to drill any anything into the body.
From the top...
THru the drivers door tray top up...
Top down
I"ll be putting the top on it tomorrow. THe box will be built next weekend my project is now in the final stages.

Ok time to hook the system up for a test run.
Its getting dark and I need to find a ground... I hook the test light up and lay it down.
haha the dang sound deadening acted like a ground for me. No worries I'm not gonna use it for the subs, it did make me laugh though.
Found a good spot right in the well...
Night shot of my uber rice'tastic LED capacitor
from a distance with full power.
I had my two pioneer 10's hooked up and they were banging like crazy.. lights never dimmed once. yay for the cap!
Night shot with the flash
Next segment will be the creation of the sub box.
Almost done...
Well not entirely..after this its sunroof fix, burned out dash bulbs and a power seat install.
Oh damn almost forgot about the paint job, turbo valence and 968 spoiler install.
Most people want to chill during their summer break, that seems so boring to me.
Guess thats why i'm so gangsta
