at risk of sounding like a moron...
how do i take the shift boot off the center console? i'm having a quick pizza/smoke break before i tackle the rest of the transaxle removal

If its a newer one it should have an elastic band around the base, just pulls up...the rubber one underneath should just pull off too.

It has a plastic ring that snaps over a lip around the edge, should just pull off.
