Looks like fun. I would be interested in the longevity of these.
Especially with water and bugs, and debris jamming in there.
(as mentioned, some cover needed)

There are several providers, just go to ebaymotors and search.

240SX 180SX HALO HEADLIGHT

even a faux CF option
The chinese love their hydro dip.

Free beer to whoever buys these and modifies them to fit flush under a moulded piece of lexan.

Sorry guys, didn't get a chance to do anything this weekend. Looks like I should have a bunch of pics and updates on this as well as some of my other stuff this coming weekend.

Pjburges, cool! Thanks. I'll keep it in mind. Right now I'm kind of in the early stages. My main concern is getting my turbo setup together so the car will run, so I'm probably not going to get to in depth on the headlight conversion at the moment, and will likely just figure out what's going to be necessary to complete it for right now.

has anybody tried this yet? i've been meaning to do it once im done putting my engine back together. im planning on taking some of those halo fog/driving lights 4 of them, 2 on each side, and place them in the original headlight bucket. basically the bucket will still open and close so you'll be keeping the original look of the car, but i will be modifying it to only open about an eight of the way it does now to accomidate the size of the lights.

sorry for the 2nd grade drawing skills, i haven't done anything in microsoft paint in like.. years..

nh7cy:

I have seen that on someone's 951, the light covers didn't open all the way and he had projector headlights underneath.
Unfortunately I can't remember who....

ooh, yes

i'd hope that the actual angle of the headlights can be adjusted though, rather than just having them face the ground like that.

You could do it yourself...I PM'd the guy who's got these lights as his avitar ("future"?) and he emailed me back saying he'd get me info, but nothing's become of it.
