Who wants a 944 with a nose that looks like a Hyundai, and who wants to send the message that I think those chevy owners did, which was: I don't think my car is special enough so I slapped these lights on them.
The flip-up lights are integral to the look of the 924/944.
Now, the only headlight cover mods I think I'd consider are the low-profile flippers from DeutschNine, or a set of clears similar to those on C-GTs.

Flip up lights make the nose look rather generic, and to the unobservant, it looks like a 240SX or a Ford Probe.
