Default Painted my rimz and caliperz...

Took a day off from work.. Made stuff look pretty. Aren't perfect, but they so much better than before. Now I once the girlfriend paints my center cap logos, It'll be complete.

First picture is one example of them before...

Ive painted a few different sets of wheels, and i dont think i will ever enjoy having to mask the tire off.

Looks great..ive hopefully painted my last set of wheels for a long time .

Very nice. I repainted my wheels and center caps about a year ago. Did you use Wurth paint?

Nah, I'm cheap and used my discount at advance on duplicolor metallic silver..

Masking off each tire probably only 10 min once I figured out the best way. I was able to mask a tire off in between coats on another wheel.

At least noone can steal my car...

Either way the wheels still look great. My wheels were a dark gray before I painted them, and they were scuffed in some areas. After I painted them it greatly enhanced the look of the car...until brake dust began to accumulate

I should start driving around with 4 spare tires in the trunk of my van in case I come across cars on blocks.

The wheels look great. Welcome to the lobster-claw caliper club.

Anyone ever tried a liquid mask for their tires? I use the stuff all the time on lexan (I paint RC car bodies). It's magic on funny shapes and contours. Wonder if it would stick to the rubber...probably! Someone try it and let us know!

your rims look good . in my body shop we pop the bead ,cut 2 half moon peases of card bord and mask off the tire that way .we also pull the valve stem . if you want to mount new tires ,mount the tires ,do not seat the bead then paint the wheel, then seat the bead.this way you cant mess up the outer lip of the wheel.
