Default GT racing vented nose on an S2

Installed this yesterday...did have to do some light grinding as the intercooler on a turbo (nose came off a 951) leaves more clearance behind the panel than the S2 airbox.

Love the nose...just don't like what I see thru the vent! Should I just put a piece of black mesh behind the panel? Any other suggestions (besides get a 951 to go with my new nose! )

best

Joe

Can you paint the straps/clamps/whatever they are black to help hide them?

I could....what's hard to see in the pics is that the airbox is actually a dark grey...so even if I paint the straps I'd have this big grey thing with black stripes.

I gues I could paint the airbox...but I was thinking that if I grind down the back of the vent some more I could epoxy some sort of black mesh to the back of it...

I am keeping my steel nose in the garage as well...this thing is fiberglass and I can just see it being cracked by a shopping cart or some other impact.

you could change the airbox to have a cone filter instead to make some use of that vented nose panel. obviously you'd still be looking at a cone filter, but then it'd made sense.

What are you doing with the nose you removed? Are you interested in selling it?

Thanks,
Sam

Sam

No...I am holding on to it as a backup in case the GT fiberglass one gets broken.
