Arrow The status of 944PowderCoating.com

As of last week, I got orders, and I PCS'ed to the 202d MP Co on Fort Eustis. Although Ft. Eustis is only 24 miles from where I live (Ft. Monroe), it is a BIG change from my job @ Ft. Monroe. Ft. Monroe is a more relaxed post that has more civilians than soldiers (3 to 1) working there. While at Fort Monroe, I had a VERY relaxed desk job that had normal hours (8-5, 9-5). This is what allowed me to create 944powdercoating.com, in my spare time.

To most Ft. Monroe is NOT the "real army". Of course they are right, PT is only 3 days a week (if you even attend). But, Ft. Eustis is a training post. So their are lots of things going on all the time..... Weapons ranges, field problems, misc training, deloyment , etc.

Last week, when I got my orders, I found out the unit I just joined will be deploying in a few months. So I have a lot of things I will be taking care of VERY soon. As to the specific date of deployment, I am not sure. First i heard June, and then July, now it is "LATE SUMMER".

So that brings me to the point. 944PowderCoating.com will be shut down April 30th. I just won't have the time for it that i did. I'd rather shut it down early and be able to keep the reputation, than to try and do stuff I may not be able to and ruin it.

Everyone who has placed an order (or a deal has been worked out) up until now, it is being worked on. Please bear with me while I go through this change. I will do my best to get everything out asap.

The good news.... As soon as I return from the sand box, 944PowderCoating will return. I will actually be able to devote 3 solid months to nothing but powder coating, because of my leave time saved before i go, and my separation date.

MORE good news... I have spoken with Dan P and I will be donating $1400+ in powder coated 944 parts for the '07 944FEST, for giveaways and such.

**As far as any future orders go (pre-April 30th), I will only take a certain amount. So if you want in, now is the time.

Damn that sucks to hear, as you are one of the true gentlemen of the board. It seems the war has finally reached the watercooler community. Goodluck with the deployment and we look forward to you coming back.

Good luck!

I guess this is proof that slacking about sending stuff off doesn't work out... oh well.

I know. The only thing left is getting that damn cam gear off the cam housing, and then packing them all up. I'll get the gear out one way or another by the end of the weekend, so then I should be good to go.

But for the record, I'm also doing about 15hours of work per week and 18 credits of school, so I don't have too much time to get out into the garage.

A big thanks to JG for both his military service and 'Fest support. I've got a feeling the competitiors for this year's awards are taking it up a few notches, and Jesse is a considerable part of that.

Thanks Dan.... you know ever since I heard of the Fest, I have always wanted one of those awesome piston trophies. I guess I am glad my work will be earning one, if it's not actually me winning one.

Umm, no, not that I know of. He's donating a large collection of powdercoated parts. We did not talk about the trophies. I do believe my local shop (Autobahn Extremist) will do them again as a sponsor contribution. Dan, if it works for you, plan to do the tech gig again!
