Anyone know where I can get a high-flow, inexpensive replacement cat that keeps the original sound?

As for simulated noises...the timing belt on my NA is still tight and so it whines when you bring up the RPM...scares ricers away because they think its a supercharger..

I went to a PCA event with mine just after I did the belts and they were tight, and a guy asked me if it was supercharged. I said no, but it should be, and that was the begining of a slippery slope.

Ok. What are the advantages/disadvantages of a gutted cat? I;ve heard added horsepower. I've also heard less backpressure. Wondering if I should install my gutted cat or leave stock.

Do the resonators hamper exhaust flow at all?
My magnaflow muffler would sound better if it didnt get raspy at 3k and up. I have also installed a magnaflow high flow CAT, which I have just read in this topic, causes the raspyness.
Where could someone pick up a resonator that doesnt hurt exhaust performance?

Also on topic, it sounds like borla is trying to get you to break in thier muffler if it's new so you cant return it. Borla must be cousins with ford....

The guy knows it is an older discontinued Borla setup. He said discontinued on 2001. Asked me what I paid and told me what I can get for it. It is a Borla Catback system for a 944 Turbo.

Oh, I just noticed that I posted that in the wrong exhaust post .... still on topic though

All that changed after my muffler was broke in was the tone, it got a little raspier. Ive never heard somebody say a muffler will run better after its broke in.

Bump.... Anybody know the answer to my question above???
Do exhaust resonator's hamper exhaust flow? I have one that was on my parts cars' exhaust and might install it if all it will do is quiet the tone for me and not hurt performance.
