Default Ok kids, I need 300 more HP

Read the title. Again. Again. Aaaand one more time. So I decided this morning I need to get 300 more ponies out of my NA, and I'm thinking that it should be done by, say, November. You know why?

Threre's this little bastard of a Jap coming over called a GT-R and I'm bound to come across them. And I'd like nothing more than to be able to embarass someone who just paid $60k for a Nissan.

Since I'm starting out with roughly 150HP (early 85 NA), how can I get it to 450? lol. Any ideas welcome.

And on a more serious note, where can I find a good catalytic converter that will let me keep that orgasmic 944 sound? Mine's broke (read: 3x legal NO2 limit on last smog)

Hershey swapmeet. I'm running a used cat I picked up for $30. Tested at about 1/10 of the allowed limit.

I don't know if an Ls6 would mount up as easily.

Hell, just go all-out and throw the supercharged LS7 Chevy is putting in their Corvette SS (or whatever the hell they are going to call it). There's a nice, easy 600+HP.

get a moded 951 or 928?

probably costs the same as a proper v8 swap, not like you can just stick a new engine in there, you'll also have to do a transmission swap, breakes/ suspension, wiring.

I just know that you'll need some serious money to get big hp out of a porsche.

Only boost will get you there if you want your "porshhh" to embaress a 60K nissan. I'm not sure why you would spend that kind of money to prove a point, even though the 60K nissan will still likely do everything far more comfortably, and better then your "porshhh" Kinda a weird reason to mod.

I think with just more power to with the stock engine / tranny the 944 na will lieterally blow up, it'll probably blow up halfway through the drag race.

Blow up how bad? Like shred a gear?

Or are we talking Chernobyl-style?
