Because that is the law of automobiles. The Great Founder (Karl Benz) said so.

300 more HP? How about a supercharged 928 S4? One for sale in the 928 forum.

RICE****cough***

I could care less if it had 1000 hp, went 0-60 in two seconds, and massaged my feet as I drived it.

It looks like crap IMO.

I have my own solution to imports. They are called musclecars. Leave a 944 to the twisties and the straight line bouts to good ole american iron, or new american iron for that matter if stopping and handling is a concern too.

+1

Anything imports can do in a straight line, domestics do better. At the extreme end, I don't see Japanese funny cars, Top Fuel, etc.

They'll break your back while doing it though.. and massage you with crappy plastics.. etc. Take the new Z06 for example.. hangs with 911 GT3's, but yeah.. much less daily driveable.

Its all about personal preference :P If you want a car that's super fast and you don't care about anything but speed and handling, then build your own.

Or get a cheap 1st gen rx7 and put a used $4k LS1 in it.
