Default FS: Dash Trim Piece and Hazard Switch

I came out to my car, and noticed my hazard switch had gone into the dash. When I looked closer I found the dash piece right above the switch was cracked. And that had caused the switch to become loose, and fall into the dash. The dash piece can probably be glued together. Check the pictures, the crack is small. I have this dash piece and switch that I would like to get rid of for $5 each, plus a small amount for shipping. PM me if you are interested or have questions.

Plus...not only is it visibly cracked, the all important mounting tab to the left of the hazard switch is MIA.

Ohh, you are right, so I guess it's not useful to anyone, I'll chuck it.

Does anyone have a tab that is still in one piece? I have had two of these trim pieces break at the tab. What gives?

PeteL, I actually found the tab that is supposed to be attached. It is in good shape besides the fact that it's separated from the main trim piece. Are you interested?

I've tried super glue and other kinds of industrial adhesives and cannot find anything that permanently sticks that tab back on for any amount of time.

I have two trim pieces and two tabs. Unfortunately none are complete. Epoxy has never worked holding them together.

i have used a soldering iron and it works well- just kinda melt the backside of the plastic together and wala! Forgot that old trick! I rebuilt a turn signal switch like that once.

OK...sounds like a plan. I really don't want to know about the softballs.
