just a few suggestions:
The N/A does not like hot engine compartment air. I would use that donor hood and cut a hole in it and route some sort of scoop to feed the throttle bodies, or maybe mount a 924 Carrera GT hood scoop on there if it is long enough.
Do not increase the diameter of the stock exhaust, you WILL lose power. N/A's are not like turbos with respect to intake and exhaust. Where turbo cars worry about pressure, N/A's worry about gas velocity. I would change out mufflers to a less restrictive one and put a test pipe in place of the cat. If you care about sound, you'll add a resonator before the muffler.
Change cams and you can take advantage of the ITBs, otherwise you'll lose low end torque using them but the motor wont rev high enought to take full advantage of them. No matter what your power curve will drop after 5800. You'll be much happier spending the money on a cam rather than ITBs.

I'm just wondering what the collection of 10 baseball bats is for? Rolling fenders?

Safe to say no one is coming near YOUR garage!

Thanks for the suggestions. I've already got a new exhaust worked out which I think will be optimum for this setup, I'm not using my turbo exhaust. I've also got a spare hood I could use a CGT scoop on. If I see a SERIOUS problem, I'll use it, but until then I'll keep drawing hot air. As for a cam vs itb's. I think my total investment for ITB's has been about $100 vs $800 or so for a good cam. I'm not really interested in spending money/going all out on mods for power on this engine, it's more of a fun side project.

As for the baseball bats, I used to play baseball from the age of like 6 - 16, and they make great hood props.

I could only do it so cheap because my car is already set up for it, I'm running them open element, and I had 95% of the parts sitting around. For everyone else, it'd be signifcantly more expensive.

if you used 4 stock throttle bodies you would lose power, they are way too big

I'm not. Dont worry

Trust me, I've done all the proper calculations behind runner length, TB size, butterfly placement, total length of the induction system from valve to velocity stack, etc.

Not a huge update for today as I'm waiting on parts to come in the mail. Cleaned the engine up, still have some area's I need to do by hand, but most of the way there.

Ok, so tore into the engine tonight. Everything looks good, except the oil cooler is shot. So the engine was definitely milkshaked when I drained the fluids out. Suppose I'll be doing rod bearings and rings and just make sure everything is in top notch condition. Pulled the balance shafts out, most likely deleting them. Head looks good, valves look fine. Oh, the big complaint for tonight. Some asshat put an impact (or so it appears) on the big "nut" on the front of the cam, you know, the one that isnt a nut that is just the housing for the cheesehead. *sigh* So if anyone has a spare NA cam for sale I'd appreciate it.

New Belt covers?

Always feels good to pull the only mitsubishi part off my car. Hate that damn company.

Such a stupid design.

Thankfully, after test fitting, the turbo piece appears to mount up without issues.
