Default koni sport suspension or bilstein

i was wondering what i should get im only gonna do the front suspension
so let me know what i need i found this for 350
is this eveything i need or do i need other parts?

Well I have a koni's on my 951. On my 83' 944 I just replace them with Turbo BOGS struts. There is a lot of hidden cost in doing struts. Nine out of ten time you will have to pay to have them taken apart and a 4 wheel alingment when your done.

To do the Koni stuff, unless you car was M-0ption 474, the strut assembly will have to be modified. Check out Paragon they give instructions, and maybe a deal if you buy rears too! You may need new bump stops, new boots, and new mounts!

well i have a 1984 944 so if someone could give me some options and cost for new suspension
should i do koni bilstien or kyb
and what do i need for each
give me some suggestions

I have Bilsteins on my 86. No modifications to install. They are a great strut.

I've got full Koni adjustables on my 951. It's pretty pretty stiff, but handles like it's on rails. I've never had any experience with bilstien other than the stock set up on my 85 1/2 '44 N/A. But as far as my experience with Koni goes I would never have a reason to change set ups.

Right now I have Koni adjustables all the way around on my 89, but I like Koni adjustables in the front and bilstens in the rear better.

On my 87's I have Koni's front/ rear & 968 sways (Heavy). It handles the same at 170MPH as it does a 70 MPH. I also run Toyo's and have yet to have a problem at all. I set it up for highspeed breaking full stiff rear and 75% front.

My plan with the K26/8 is to turn it into a S! 1987S 951.

Ive always had good luck with bilsteins. Have them on my GTI and my 924. They last forever too. 100k miles out of a set is very common. I picked up a set of 4 for under $400 on ebay so they dont break the bank either.

i had konis on my red S2 that was stolen and have them on my red 951. I had bilsteins on my Z28. The rears on the Z28 were revalved by doug rippie motorsports and were too stiff for the street.

I also had bilsteins on my 77 celica gt.

for a pure track i say bilstein, for a street track i say koni.

Turbo Conversion, High End Brakes, Sway Bars, now Suspension? Maybe you should think about a mission statement for your car.

If you're spending all that money might as well go JRZ/Leda/Moton.

I have to tastefully disagree with you on that one.
On a street car you'll probably never ever have to change your shocks valving. On a track you will eventually be able to tell the difference in a few clicks here or there - rain vs dry, smooth tracks vs bumpy, etc. Koni makes different levels of shocks and valvings as does Bilstein. The main difference is adjustability. Call Chuck or Jason at Paragon - they know their stuff and sell both. If nothing else they can fill you head full of ideas with what you intend to do with the car.

I agree this guy has been asking a lot of stupid questions about really expensive things. Kind of been annoying me.

I'm not really sure what needs to be replaced for a suspension upgrade. I think I'm just going to upgrade to the koni yellows from paragon, I think it's around 700 bucks for 2 front struts / rear shocks. I wonder if it would make a big difference over my original shocks and struts ( I assume they are original).
