do you feel they are too stiff for a daily driver? that is the issue many 'teeners' have with the KYB's .

tthey kyb gas adjusts for like 30 bucks? they are not stiff, they are pretty typical shocks. I was going to upgrade soon because mine are worn out over aobut 20k miles.. (they wont last long if you drive hard) but i think I'm just goign to replace them with the same because they are cheap.

considering you can get all 4 KYBs for about 160 shipped, and the koni inserts go for 600 plus shipping...

I would love to get a set of kybs for my NA. at 5k miles a year i dont want to spend the money on the na, and i dont want to drive with leaking struts.

People dog on them so much... but they really aren't bad shocks. I think most of the criticism comes from a mislead idea that "you get what you pay for." Though it holds true most of the time, it sure doesn't with upgrade aftermarket Porsche parts.

That being said... I love my Bilsteins and my Konis.

If I have to replace shocks on the project car though, I'm going with KYBs.

I had them on all 4 corners of the 83 and had no complaints for street and Fun Run use. They solidly built and held up well to teenage abuse. The price can't be beat and they are indeed better than the Boge's at a much higher cost.

I ran some on my 83 autocross/parts car. Worked fine. Not as good as the Koni's, but 100% better than old worn out shocks and when you figure their cost they fine if you are willing to give up some performance to stay on a budget.

They only make the white GasAdjust model for the 944. The AGX exyernal adjustables would be sweet though.

Where are you guys getting the KYBs for so cheap? I dropped $90 on a pair of rears through my work, thats with my discount. I can also get GR-2 front cartridges for $90 with discount. So thats a total of $180 after 25% employee discount
