Not a bad deal if you repaint the front valance and remove the Mattel decals. Curious how he says he could easily sell it for $4k but is asking $2K...must have dropped out of Econ 101.

Funny thing is in Oakland there was an '86 with 75-80K(recently broken speedo), one owner since 88, garage kept, weekend car for the last several years, etc, etc, for $2300...This thing was an absolute steal, easily worth $4.5K Medium metallic red, prisine interior(dash cracks though), some two-tone gold/silver phone dials(said to be Porsche option) with dealer maintenance records back till new....just a guy looking for a quick sell.

Needless to say, the listing was gone in 1 day. Strange values placed on old cars.

If all it needs is a valve cover and intake gaskets, why not put it on and then sell it as running. Must be some hidden problems...

Sweet! I want it! I could turn around and sell that RACING STEERING WHEEL for 1/2 the cost of the car! And furthermore, it's a race car! And wow, look at all the sponsors the guy has, must be a carbon fiber front bumper!

That looks like the carpeting and cloth on my '88 SE.

Why oh why couldn't I have just bought something that was black on the inside?

I thought it was CE, for celebration edition, anyway... I don't know much about those models.

It's great how everyone is commenting on everything BUT the beard!
