Default Broke the rear bell housing on the torque tube

Anyone ever seen this happen. It looks like the shaft in the torque tube deflected enough to make the bolt on the collar catch in the hole. You can see there's another dimple a little ways up from the hole where it must have made contact also. This is what caused the aluminum to crack. you'll never guess what caused it to happen . At least I have a spare torque tube . You can see how the trans rotated once the bell housing was free from the tube.

So the bolt backed out and caused all the havoc?

I know.... You ate Taco Bell or McDicks for dinner, were part way home when your intestinal tract attempted to exit stage rear in protest, tried to go faster to get home to the porceline racing seat, then spun out going around a corner and drifted into into a solid object of some sort with the bell housing stopping you?

Got the car back together last night. I did some of those "while I'm in there" mods too. Put a few miles on it today to check it out everything seems fine. Just have to put the front Bilsteins on now. Oh and 265/35 18s no VHT haha. The 550lb springs I put in the rear should keep it from planting so hard now .
