Not sure if this helps temporarily.... but i bought one of those cheapy foam sponges shaped like a big peanut for washing cars, slit a small hole in it, and stuffed it down there. Worked nicely until I could take the TT out for replacement (main reason was to replace clutch discs).
Finally, I was inspired to install my peanut sponge I read about a few months ago after reading this thread. I installed the peanut sponge last night. Shifts tighter, less rattle on an aftermarket ****, cut down, rebuilt shifter. I am not sure how long it will last, but an excellent cheap fix for a neggling issue. Thanks 944-LT1. Thanks Rennlist.
