No start, no sell...
Well, never sold the 944 and never tried real hard.
My gosh the 944 is a wicked drug . . .
Anyway, I am nearing the point of actually wanting to get it running again and need some help.
Car will not start, cranks over, seems to fire until it starts and when you turn the key back to let it run it dies.
Something simple?
Many TIA

Electrical portion of the ignition switch from what you are describing. They crack in almost all early 944s as just about every parts car I had had cracked plastic housings on the switch. When the crack gets really bad, the contacts will no longer line up thus causing no power to the "on" position after you start the car.
Classic sympton: Car will start and run great while the key is on the "start" cranking position EVERYTIME but once you let the key go to settle in the "on" position, the car dies.
$19 fix.

Before, I had to kind of jingle the key to make it work. After the new switch, it worked great, no issues.
Then one day, out of the blue, the car would not start and here I sit.
Well, it was not out of the blue. My other vehicle was loaned out and there was a really bad thunderstorm going on outside. I was late to work and had to ride my motorcycle in the storm. As I was late, I wore my shorts and stuff, then rode well in excess of 100MPH, lane splitting all the way.
I sold the motorcycle shortly afterward . . .
Anyway, everything worked fine until the morning it would not start.
I did find one suspect ground, on the bellhousing. Moved it to the head.
Hope it is the switch, that would be sweet!
I have one on order, should be here by the weekend.
