Thumbs down Time for a clutch.....

well- put my new slave and master in and adjusted the pedal out and my car shifts better than ever. Problem is that didnt help the clutch slipping at all. No fluids on the flywheel upon inspection last night so its time to pull the thing apart. Since i need to do a rack, struts and get an alignment anyway, im pulling the motor. If i pulled the trans and such out it would still be a job because of my one piece crossover.

so now i need a new clutch kit, two piece crossover if i can find one, and im def going to install a lindsey oil pan baffle if i have the motor out. ANyone have a two piece crossover? I really dont feel like doing this, i feel like ive done it already a couple of times......

i have a few other things laying around i need to put on there anyways...

I highly recommend the 3pc. Lindsey Dan. It has saved me a ton of time more than once. If I remember right, I think you have a welder. You could probably turn a 2pc. into a 3pc. yourself pretty easily. Mine is off the car right now if you need measurements.

i was thinking of that, cut the piece out, weld on some flanges and go. Course i could prob do that to my 1piece as well! Im pulling the whole motor out so hopefully itll go alittle smoother. BTW- anyone know if you have to pull the crossover pipe to do a clutch job if you WERENT to pull the motor? I thought that was just when you did an oilpan?

I didn't pull my crossover when I did my clutch with the motor in. But...I have a two piece crossover.

I just had my clutch done at the shop and they did not pull the crossover. You can tilt the engine by jacking up the front to get the bellhousing out.
