So, despite the fact that the altima i was parked next to is probably worth twice as much as my car, in teh past 5 days, i came out to see my gas flap door open (i have a locking gas cap so they didn't get anywhere...) and then today my hood emblem's gone...

Why don't they pick on teh brand new range rover sport some spoiled kid has a few cars over?

It's funny too because as a freshman i drove this car 4 months or so and never had an issue.

It's all good though, i wanted a new hood emblem anyway.

Yeah, I was visiting my girlfriend and someone took like a rock or a key and ran it down the side of my car. It sucks, i was pretty pissed as anyone would be.

ah dude...im a junior in college right now....i havent had anything major happen to my car...mostly posters in the windshield or the driver window....someone did, however, manage to rip my front spoiler off of my car. It was a custom-made spoiler that i had rivetted on the front...w/e....it was not worth much money to me...so i didnt blow that much steam.

I go to USC. Last year, I accidently left my car unlocked on the street in the shady neighborhood that I live in (west of campus aka South Central) for two weeks and it was not touched! Nothing was missing and there were no signs that anyone had done anything to it.

yaknow nobody really messes with me or my cars. i dont know why, alot of folks around where i live seem to be the target of stoned teenagers, or whatever. Maybe they're scared of me?? i had heard that once from someone, apparently someone was afraid to talk to me cuz they thought i was gonna do something....so ive kept up this facad, and i guess its working out ok...lol

i know this all too well, i'm afraid to leave my car anywhere out of site now, after getting trim taken and a mirror broken.
its jealousy is what it is, people are pissed that we own porsches and they dont. this is what i tell myself when i get flipped off or get evil looks, it makes me feel a little better inside.

People just hate what is better than them. Without Porsches in this world many cars would be held in higher esteem...therefore - vandals. Its like ugly people, some accept it while others just stay pissed off and do childish things.

never know who it is either...I came out of a local mall one day with my son and found two young girls standing between the front of the 944 and the front of the car parked infront of mine....when I got closer they walked away and I noticed my hood emblem was slightly pryed up....these girls couldn't have been more than 16.....and did not look like bad kids.

i'm at college, although a small college with not too many aholes. i just keep my car under a car cover at all times, and if you want you can lock the cover down so they cant take it off and mess with your car.

although i do like yellowline's idea about the mazda emblem. lol

See, I'm worried about it just making it more of a target. I've got a factory cover so it has a big Porsche Crest on the hood.

So far, no one has messed with my car. The paint is in terrible shape anyway so I probably wouldn't care that much though.
