Thank Allen!

I think I should say that I didn't post that to be a smart *** to anyone...I just saw such a wide range of opinions so I thought the final result should be known. I truly hope no offense was taken by anyone and please know that my intentions were to be informational, not confrontational.

Like I said before, I guess we were all wrong.

Yeah, I took it as a nice informational post too.

I am happy because I do think a car like that is worth that kind of money to someone like myself. I may have missed in in an earlier post, but are you planning on staying in the P-car fold?

After the above debate, I don't dare introduce 968 pricing considerations, trends, etc. Like most of you guys, I have more invested in my Porsches than I could ever get out of them...but they're excellent examples of the art and wonderful to own and drive. Barring a car accident, I expect them to outlast me.

Oh yeah...I am waiting for my lease to be up on my daily driver to get into a P-car for daily use and I am going to say in the 944 fold via the 944-spec racing class. In fact, I may get another 944, but not a trailer queen this time...I want to drive the thing and enjoy it without worrying about devalueing the car.

Interesting thread. IMO anyone who sells a beautiful car like that without holding out for top dollar is doing a disservice to the rest of us. [Sweetheart deals would be an exception to that.]

As for those of you who are constantly driving cars down a notch and passing them off as pristine, well cared for examples- YOU are the ones holding down the value of all 944s. [And you know who you are.] Go back and read Sir Mirkin what's his name.
