I thought I'd share my latest work,

Here's what I started with


After a couple layers of paint stripper !! What a mess.


Some taping and applied first coat of paint


And now the final result, I can't stop looking at them. I can't beleive I did that
They're not perfect but close enough.



I think they look better with the colored center caps but my wife doesn't like them

D'uh, forgot the valve... I thought their was something wrong.

Not sure about the center in black, I kinda like it this way, I think it puts some balance between the lip and the center. I've seen all black phones with black center and it all becomes a big black blog, (try to say that 3 times ), IMO.

Yeah, centre caps need to be black as well - otherwise it is perfect - may have to do that to mine!

tape up the crest and paint around it black...

I have a Guards car that I think may look good like this - maybe even a dark gunmetal instead of black. OTOH, I love macfreak's car - Guards red with white phones - it looks amazing.........so many choices.

I just tried it with Photoshop, I stink with photoshop so it's very rough, but it gives an idea, not sure about it, but I'm getting used to it

What about painting the raised portion of the crest black as well?

paint around the colored crests

then i'll trade you wheels, i want black wheels with a polished lip
wanted to trade for fuch wheels, but nobody wants my cup ones
