Man your quick...and Good. Thanks Testarossa, exactly what I wanted. Looks good IMO.
ubercooper: I used a procedure I found in the forums for cleaing and sanding, for the paint I used Dupli-Color for Wheels, (WP10400 Flat Black), I finished with a Dupi-Color Clear Coat.

I like the silver center with a painted crest like the 4th and 5th pictures in the original post. I think the silver center adds some contrast. Put them on like that and you can always paint them later if you want.
My next choice is like the first one Testarrosa just added.

Testarossa: Again you've outdone yourself with those two wheels, side by side, you've even turned it over so the valve and the center caps align
When I painted them, I did not put a clear coat on the lips of the wheels, just the painted part. Should have I'd also done them?

Yes - Testarossa hit it on the head - the one on the right with the black-on-silver crest is exactly what I want. I may even try it this weekend!

Daredeveil: What can I say, I didn't like the only polished look and they had a bunch of defects that the paint hides perfectly

WOW!, was i mistaken. i also happen to be obsessed with polished lips and black centers, thats the only style wheel i will purchase for any color car.

I followed the following thread https://rennlist.com/forums/showthre...ht=refinishing but with some differences
Rougly I started with 120 Grit, they were very damaged
Then I went up in grit 400, then 1000, then 1400, always using WD40
Cleaned really good reguraly with varsol or paint thiner.
Taped the lip by following an imaginary line, I tried to make it as straight as possible.
Dupli-Color paint prep
Dupli-Color Flat Black <- 2 coats
Dupli-Color Clear Coat <- 2 coats
Just before taking the pictures, I cheated and applied Z-6 Ultra Clean "Gloss Enhancer" Spray from Zaino

Nice job! As for the centercaps, my vote would be for the one on the left of testarossa_td's two photoshops - with the full-colored crest.

Nice job, it always feels good when things turn out great like that.
Have you considered the center caps from Jager Engineering? They have a nice, metalic finish to them that I think would match perfectly with the wheel lip. You could even sell your stock center caps and probably make money!

Edit: Daredevil is correct, these do not replace the center cap, they attach to it.
