Fuchs on a 924S? - got info on the wheels.
Ok...so I'm about to trade Sracer for his S2 wheels but...
At a local Porsche swap meet, next to Granite944 and I, was a guy with a set of four awesome looking Fuchs. With Rubber.
"They are the 6" and 7" later offset, IIRC" according to Granite944.
So three questions:
Will they fit? Spacers?
How to tell if they're replicas?
And...any pictures of Fuchs on a 924S? I love the way they look on a 944...

there is a girl in the RMR PCA, who has a black 924S with fuchs. looks hot, but I dunno how she got them to fit.. IIRC, the fuchs are early offset, and the 924S takes late offset... try adding spacers?

OEM Fuchs only came in the early offset AFAIK, with the 951 units being among the least transferrable of the lot, but those are 7 and 8's for the 951. If 6 and 7's they are likely 911 wheels if OEM. Tifosiman and Andy know far more than I in this area.
There are many cast replicas available and I have a neighbor that runs 16" 5x100's on his VW New beatle so many a copy and fitment are out there. Check for ET and part no.'s to be certain. Neat idea if it works for you.

From: Central Illinois. Cornfields a plenty.
Oh Baby, I WISH!!!
Late offset will bolt right on, youre looking for 53mm offset whells for a bolt-on.
early offset is 23.
IIRC there WERE some Fuchs that were available for the 924 (i.e 924 CarreraGT) and are rare as hen's teeth.
I love the look, love the wheels. After 10 years of looking I gave up the hunt for Late Offset Fuchs.
There are aftermarket- you can tell as they are cast, not forged. are heavier, and dont have 951.XXX or 911.XXX casting markings. Look in the inside of the wheel spoke- the answer is there.
and Jerry is right on this one- Tifo is the wheel man.

i tried to put some early 911 16" fuchs on our 924s, they fit but were alittle close to the lip of the fenders. With the tires that were on the wheels they stuck out a quarter of an inch. Looked good though.

Ok, I've found out a little bit more about these.
They are 16's and 6's and 7's.
Readable numbers on them are..
058 7x16 ET (some number??)
A31062 9113 62.1 (?)
FCO
6J x16 ET 36 9113 52.1
AS40.62

They came off an '87 Carrera.
Sooo....?

thats what is on the car in my picture...they are close but...would be tight w/ 195's up front and 205's in the rear- just because of the sidewalls....and you can fit much wider tires on there w/ the right rims.
