the tickign may just be from the gas thinning out the oil, so one of your lifters isnt pressurized. tell us the results ASAP!

OK I have changed the Oil still makes the same tick/pinging sound. Now for the compression. cylinder 2 170 lbs and good looking plug . cylinder 4 170 lbs good looking plug. cylinder 3 135 lbs good looking plug. cylinder 1 180 lbs plug a little sut on it and cyl 1 is the same one where if i unplug the fuel injector it makes no difference in the idle. now from what i understand 2,4 and 1 are ok they are withn 10 lbs of each other. Here is one more thing if i unplug 2,4 or 3 idle changes Big time. Help. feel free to call Josh 606-524-2287 or give me your number i'll call you.

Josh, I replied to your PM with what I thought is the problem, but I'll repeat it here so others can verify...

if the #1 plug is sooty, that means running way rich... so I think the injector is stuck open for cylinder 1.

have them cleaned and "balanced" at www.witchhunter.com,

also, sounds like piston rings will eventually need replacement on cylinder 3.

How does a stuck injector make a ticking/pinging sound? Could be a major intake gasket leak.

Well, I was adressing mostly the smell of gas in the oil, and the fact that the cylinder isn't firing properly. as for the pinging, I thing we should get all 4 on the same page before diagnosing the pinging...
