Default MyToys have arrived

I'm been like a kid on a cristmas day all this week!

All this is going in a 86 944.... also new suspension and brakes.....

My winterproject is beginning

Fresh engine block, cleaned by ultrasonic method.

Chromoly steel cylinder sleeves.

106mm bore.

balance rods, turbo forged rods.

custom JE pistons, 9:1 compression.

Total Seal piston rings.

Fully race prepped crank shaft, lightened 13lbs, knife edged, balanced.

2.7 liter 944 head, fully ported and polished.

Port matched turbo intake manifold.

New bearings.

New gaskets.

Crank shaft, rods and pistons were all balanced together to 12000 rpm and are withing 1/2 gram.

Turbo valve springs are installed in the head.

Valves are hand turned and polished.

Wide fire ring head gasket.

THAT has convinced me to do a full teardown and ultrasonic cleansing of the engine... It's so clean you could eat off it.

HEY! DON'T PUT IT TOGETHER. Look closely...there's a cell phone in there. Better take that out before you put the head on. Good thing you posted that picture...wow...that would have been a disaster!

Not to mention it would make answering the phone a very labor intensive process.
