Default A sad, sad tale of humiliation!

I just came back from the local harware store.
On the way in I stopped at a set of lights next to a vehicle with the intention of accelerating off and then switching lanes to turn into the hardware.
Imagine my surprise when I'm just hitting 3k in 2nd and the other vehicle comes zooming alongside screaming like a banshee!
I pulled back and turned off behind him with a smile on my face. Musta made his day, week, month, year, decade!
I got dragged off by one of these!

Hey, Toyota still uses the Hilux name overseas. They stopped that here with the introduction of the Tacoma. beeg, do they have the Tacoma and Tundra down under?

No.
But that doesn't stop the embarressment!

Every 3rd bloody 4WD in Cairns seems to be a Hilux trayback! (lots of construction work)
When the Jap courtesy drivers start driving Hi-lux's I am burning my license!

I have to admit, I've street raced way more in the truck than the car. I made a ricer-scion driver quite angry once. Torque owns

I know how that is. Back in '73, the family had a 454 Suburban. Stomp on the gas at the light and the thing would just leap forward with very little wheel spin. Really surprising that something that big could accellerate that fast. My dad told me that it topped out around 130. Probably mainly due to it's bad aerodynamics.

It's on days like this that you need a little NOS, and this has nothing to do with new or old.

Not like you had any choice. Would you want to switch lanes in front of him to make the turn. Whether you beat him to the turn or not, the last thing I'd want to do is step on my brakes with a pickup behind me. His brakes aren't going to be near as good as yours.

Oh Adam. So cruel.
And I dont do that anymore. I even sit up straight and hold the wheel correctly! So there! Nyah, nyah!
And I definately wasnt gunna turn in front of him with less space than needed. I was just surprised when he came screaming up alongside!
