Thumbs up (contemplating list) - License plates - opinions & input required

Hi all

I know this is personal preference and not sure if I can offer incentives on this site, but any ideas or comments are welcome, I need the collective minds of Rennlist to help me here.

I want to personalise the 944 and/or promote my business (IT Consultant) starting with personalised license plates

I will reward any rennlister with a choice of either a 1GB USB flash drive or a Wireless PCCard for your laptop for choosing a plate number that I will use (and that I have not already chosen and is available for use), I will PM you with details of win and post pics of the car with the new plates attached. product will be despatched upon confirmation (sorry no 944 parts! I need them too...)

I have an 84 944 NA (LM3A - Indian Red). I initially bought it, not only because it is sex-on-wheels, but because it stands out around here and red is my primary company color. (and secondly, I wanted to give that Nerds-onsite-IT Franchise in their Red VW's some Porsche Competition)

It is an Australian car and I am considering getting personalised number plates for it. We have here a few options, I have chosen red plates with white lettering and listed below, some combinations that are available.

Bearing in mind that I am limited to 6 characters or less, combos, such as ABC.123 are $130/yr fee other combos outside the norm (MY944) are $470/yr. Letters have to be included in any plate.

Here's a link if you want to play around:
http://ols2.rta.nsw.gov.au/myPlates/...tion=createNew

Heres what I have come up with, so far:

RED.944 (Taken, unavailable, damn, the obvious choice)
8T4.944 (Eighty Four 944)
OLD.944 (ewwww, sounds...old)
944NA (mmmmm)
RNA.944 (Red NA 944)
HITAC (for my business - Highlands Technology & Consulting)
BINARY (cause im sometimes a geek)
LOGON (catchy?)

Some background on what I do:

Highlands Tech. & Consulting - IT Services (onsite/workshop), Sales, Domain Names, Hosting, Internet/Broadband reseller, etc, etc - so any plate that is IT related

I am currently working on an online store, to open soon, toysfordad.com.au - so anything toys, etc can be interpreted

I hope that many minds can come up with a little more than I can, good luck and many thanks in advance for your input.

Adam

PS - I am still not sure about sticking decals on the doors/sides, as it may upset the paintwork, so plates are a first option.

First of all i would like to say the most clever plates I ahve seen on a porsche is on one of my dad's friend's Boxters he is a radiologist and the plate says "ICINU" in regular englishe "I see in you." I thinks thats pritty cool becuase radiologists use MRI and x-rays to look inside your body..

Now back from my tangent and back to sugestion for your plates:

How about QKPCFX? which stands for "Quick PC fix." Let me know what u think.

xsboost - I actually do own toys4dad.com (not hosted) - so that is a frontrunner (and the 'dot' is standard on 6 digit plates that are not custom lettering/numbers - so it will cost me less!

DTOY4ME - 7 chars
MY TOY - unavailable
SAVE AS - AVAILABLE
GEEKTHS - 7 chars
TYS4DAD - 7 chars
WIRED - unavailable
TFD.COM - AVAILABLE (without the dot in this combo)

giantviper - (I want a Viper, oneday, V12 brute force) - ICINU is fantastic!, I like it and will tell my chiropractor, who owns a 911 Carrera and GT3. QKPCFX is a definite consideration!, although most (90%) of my work is projects and the like, I leave the 'walk-in-walk-out' jobs to other 'techs'

"2.5L VW" has always been a personal favorite.

How about "HALF 928"

Hey now!!!

944 owners are exactly like 928 owners, they just realized they didn't need the extra four cylinders.

4GASM - love it!, but more suited to a turbo!
4CRVES - nice one, but can also be:

4CNRNG (4 cornering)

REBOOT - good, but sounds like the car needs to be restarted a lot

NO911NV - 7 chars and it should be in my case 951NV, but I dont want to appear jealous!

Now its sunny outside and all you guys are probably asleep over there...
