Appears that it was leaves. The car wasnt running, So Im really leaning towards the leaf theory. Let that be a lesson for everyone though.. spring is coming and theres alot of leaves on the ground.

That sucks about the insurance deal.
Since you said you had an extinguisher and couldn't put the fire out, it seems reasonable to believe you had a source of fuel for the fire beyond your suspected leaves. Probably a fuel leak on hot headers, but that's just a guess.
Regardless of what actually caused the fire, you have my condolences. I know how I'd feel if I lost mine.

Fire started at the right front as it burned the hottest. Its lower because the spring got so hot it no longer has the strength to hold the car up. This is very consistent with a leaky fuel damper hose. One of the cars I bought even melted the right front wheel around the caliper and broke the control arm. The good news is it looks like your entire drivetrain is still good (block, torque tube, turbo, clutch, transmission). I am willing to bet money on it as I have taken apart many burn victims.

Wow, that sucks. A total loss makes it sooo much worse. Now all you have to be happy about is that you were not trapped inside when it burnt.
I wish you the best of luck in the search for another. . .
