Default 16x7 | 16x9 993 Wheels

I found a local seller for a set of 3 993 wheels (originally came with the 95' 993), but I'm not sure if they are worth purchasing. The look like they are in pretty good condition with little or no curb rash.

How much iis set worth in good condition? Also are they sought after, because I'm probably going to sell them later this summer. Also has anyone on the board mounted these wheels on their 944s?

Thanks.

Depends on what style...and quite a few other factors.

There aren't many performance tires in 16" anymore; 245 is the widest available unless you go with something in R compound. A 245 is a good fit for a 9" but I just favor a wider tire myself. On an daily driver N/A a 245 would be a bit wide, but 235 would be slightly stretched on a 9" wheel. I'd look for 7 and 8's if you go with 16"

Here is what the wheels look like http://www.wheelenhancement.com/inde...elDetail&id=33 .

The 924 doesn't really make enough power for me to want anything wider than 245 so that isn't too much of a problem. Besides, I'd like to buy these wheels then turn around and sell them for what I hope would be a profit. So what would be a decent price for the wheels?

Thanks.

FWIW, a month ago I bought a full set of those in 7" fronts and 8" rears. They were recently refinished conditions with fresh rubber, and I stole them for only $400. The rears fit on a late 944 w/o a problem even though they are 70mm offsets. Sits a little deep in, though.

I have those on my cab...I like them but I do wish they were the two piece ones. I picked up mine about two years ago for $700 but they also included brand new Continental Tires on them.

Here are are some pics...

arent those boxster wheels? I would say if you can get them for 4-500 its worth it. On a 924 you many not want to go wider than a 245 anyways, a good size for a 924 is 205 and 225.

No, Wheel Enchancement says they came with the 1995 993.

I don't plan on putting the wheels on the 924, instead i just want to buy them and sell them at a high price. To put them on the 924 I would need spacers, and I'd rather get flat dishes.

The guy is willing to sell them for as low as $300, so would it be advisable to buy them complete the set and then sell them at a profit?
