I am going to order some Fuzion ZRi tires today from tirerack.com. I currently have P225/50ZR16 on the front and P245/45ZR16 on the rear.......is this correct? If not - what are the reccommended sizes?

that would work. im going to be getting some this spring, and am planning on 225/45 and 245/40, mine will be on 17" wheels, so im trying to get a lil bigger sidewall than what i currently have to get the most out of my bumpy ride.

Those are the stock size for the 944 Turbo S.

yes those sound right. My 16's have 225/45's on the front and they are really too short.

This is for a 16x7 and 16x8 wheel right? I was planning on doing the same with my D90's when it comes time for tires for my daily wheels.

Not sure what i would do for autocross / track wheels. Id keep the 225's in the back, but not sure if i would go with 225 front or 215 front.

How are thei fuzion ZR-1 tires. I just got 968 rims and am trying to get every day rubber on them instead of the autocross tires they came with. The price of those seems good.

I've had Fuzion ZRi's on my 17" Cup 1's since last summer, and I've put about 10000km on them. They've been fantastic; they grip just as good in the rain as they do in dry weather. For the price, I'm very satisfied.

good to know. that's the way i am leaning. I have 15" PD on the car now but just bought a set of 16 cup 1s that have Kumho victoracers on them. I actually want to use the Cup rims for everyday so looking to get the Fusions for them and now race tires for my 15" PDs. they are so expensive though.

As soon as they release a 205/55/16 I'm ordering a set. I was told the full 16 range will be out in april...

BTW Stock sizes for an 87 turbo is 205/55/16 225/50/16... YMMV

Hi guys. I'm a brand newbie both to Porsche ownership and this site. I've just bought a 1988 turbo s that has 167,000 k's on it. That's approx 104,000 miles and it's never been crashed, has no oil leaks, has great paint and a few other mods. It apparently has a 'Powerchip' in it and has one of those Lindsey Racing bolt on manual boost enhancers fitted. While it gets a bit bogged down off the line unless you get it just right, once on boost it flies just fine. My question is in this case what sort and size tyres do you suggest. I am currently wearing 245/40 17s on the back and 205/50 17's on the front. Pirrelli P Zeros 'Corsa'. The rears are $600+ Aussie each so that's pretty scary when shopping!! They are on a nice version of Boxter mag but the fronts are fitted with a pretty chunky spacer which happens to be illegal in parts of Australia. I wish to do some club racing and am not sure what to do in this matter? I'm waiting to receive the originals from the previous owner which as you know are 16's. Should I keep one for the street and one for track? If so which for what purpose. I was thinking that the 16's should give greater acceleration, is this correct? Although I have been told that the originals can fetch some good $ if in good condition. I would love to get some ideas on other mods as it is incredibly overwhelming looking at all the sites with so many choices for aftermarket stuff.

PS By the way apparently the Falkens are not worth it according to my new Porsche mechanic. He doesn't sell tyres so I don't think he has an agenda.

My only gripe is how narrow the fuzion ZRIs are. The 225/50 es100s are WIDER than 245/45 fuzions.

Otherwise, great tires from my experience.

So does that mean the 245/45-16 es100s are much wider than the 245/45 -16 fusions?
