Default POSSIBLE Group Buy on Exhausts

http://www.essentialstyling.com/944_...s_exhausts.htm

S2 fitted with decat and twin silenced: http://www.essentialstyling.com/944%20external%20.wmv

I'll check with the Rennlist gov't first, of course:

I exchanged emails with someone at the company, shipped to US, an exhaust pipe would be $750 which is cheaper than a Borla shipped from SFR. I'll see if he can't offer a group discount if anyone else is interested. If you're going with an exhaust from SFR, these are on the same level and about the same price. Anyone interested?

Is no one interested? Even if I can get him down to $650US shipped, which is cheaper than a Borla/Bullet exhaust shipped.

is that price for a full exhaust system?from the downpipe back or is it just a cat-back?what is the pipe diameter?2", 2.5" or 3"?from the pictures on the website they look like the sock diameters.though, they look nice and the price is pretty fair, people would want to upgrade their exhaust to a bigger size than stock.

Its $1041 for the whole exhaust from downpipe, with testpipe insted of cat. This is before any discounts with me buying alone, and shipping is included. I believe its a 2.5" pipe but I'll have to check.

I might be interested in a 'whole exhaust' w/testpipe. I will keep watching the bb for updates.

I can't speak about these b/c I don't know the whole story, but, the normal upgrade for 951's at least, is 3" & SFR has done several catback group-buys for a little under $500 including S&H... It's only problem was the bullet muffler being stupidly loud for a street car... this can be fixed, however... I had a $130 Borla XR1 12" oval welded into the diagonal section & it's quite enough now to hear my new exhaust manifold leak- still want to yank the Bullet end muffler for a nice quiet unit & fix the manifold, of course... I've heard of several people on this list having muffler places build SS catback/test pipes for ~$500... not sure what the quality is.... SFR does pretty damn good work though & a nice thing about Tim's work is, everything fits the first time w/out probs.... this unlike many other aftermarket exhausts...

hell yeah...

I'd also be in for a good SS header, but am not sold on the idea that most of the ones already made would hold up as well as stock in the long run... I've seen pics of them simply on dynos, like in European Car, where they were glowing bright red/orange... is this normal? Would SS really hold up as well for as long as the stock materials? OR, would it depend on the grade of SS??? I know they would flow more & would probably be lighter, etc, but....??? Hard for me to ante-up ~$1K for one unless I know this stuff for sure & current, non-group-buy prices seem closer to $2k....

I'm about to take the leap on a 3" SFR with cat and probably a Magnaflow. SFR continues to get four star reviews on their exhausts and it's a local pick-up for me.

Kevin... if it's a street car, I would recommend getting a dif muffler from them instead of the Bullet... that's all I'm saying... it drove me & everyone my car has been driven around NUTS until I welded the Borla in as an extra... I'm serious...

I have no idea who told you this but that is 100% untrue. In fact, quite possible the only complaint is that it isnt loud enough. If you didnt know any better you would think they were stock, one of the most quiet aftermarket exhausts I have ever heard.

SFR seems to be the best stuff going out there. . . There was also a review not that long ago about a 4" system by some company on the east coast that looked pretty slick though but forget the name - they're not as well-known as SFR.

Is SFR worth spending the extra $100 on a Borla? I'm still interested in this one from the UK as they're the same price, but thats another option.

First hand I dunno but a lot of guys on here run 'em and swear by the SFR setup. It looks extremely well-made. Can't recall anything bad being posted about it, other than the price.
