Default 944 euro front bumper

Where can I get one of these front bumpers. I cannot stand the bumper pads on n/a model 944s. But this isn't so bad.

They pop up on eBay from time to time, you could probably find one in the UK and have it shipped, i actually see them all the time. Another advantage other than the looks is they are much lighter than the US bumpers i have heard. Some have had problems finding those driving lights however. Ther are a few posts about it in the archives also.

One thing i never found out though, can you bolt this thing right up to the US spec bumper shocks or is the mounting different?

Option #2 - have a shop weld - up the holes for the pads and repaint. This is what I am doing right now.

The mounting is a little different, they use mostly non bumpershock mounting, Mine are mouted on solid mounts that came with it.

I found my front and rear in bad shape for $50 or so...
but that was just really lucky. I know that Nathan got his off ebay from overseas and it was not as bad of shipping as I had expected.

The driving lights are a bit difficult to locate, I had a set come with my bumper, one lens was cracked, but I ended up buying a set off a guy on pelican parts. I did look into using something non factory, and it is definately possible, actually not that difficult, just have to size something up right.

Xsboost90 shaved his pads and surrounds and turned the light holes into brake ducts. This looks really nice in my opinion.

and yes the euro front bumper is SIGNIFICANTLY lighter than the typical US spec.

Good luck with the lights. Over here they are not driving lights per se but low wattage parking lights. I brought a set of driving lights back from the states and although they are superficially the same, the internals are completely incompatible. Different connectors and design.

Default Euro Bumpers Just Installed!

Took me a few months to find all of the pieces, and then another year of "getting around to painting and installing them". The driving lights were the hardest to find and most expensive part. I paid more for them than the two bumpers. Front bumper had severe damage, but a little fiberglass work and it was pretty much good as new. Rear one went on in about 10 minutes, but the front was an absolute PIA to install. With the lights in the valance, the holes to access the attachment bolts were blocked so I ended up needing to remove the valance to be able to bolt on the bumper. Turned a 30 minute project into a 3 hour one. Oh well... I'm so happy they are on. What a huge difference in appearance. When I get more time the bumper driving lights will be wired as DRL. Overall I think they save about 25lbs.

I was interested in Euro bumpers and plan on doing it if I ever get my car running https://rennlist.com/forums/924-931-...nt-bumper.html. Justin in the UK has them.

I found my bumpers by searching on Ebay UK directly. Several wreckers in UK seem to have them. Expect some damage, but since they are fiberglass they are easy to repair. They won't mount to the US mount brackets. You need the shorter simpler European mount brackets.
