Many thanks for the pictures Paul! They didn't exactly do a pretty job with these. I am going to notch, clean up and re-glue the carpet in front when I reassemble but the "X" cut in the back will stay. I will send you pictures when the car is completed and I am working to get the graphics redone based on your suggestions.

Some interesting Euro Cup exhaust sections.

Factory Cat delete - not sure which series this was from. Possibly the French Cup, as the German Cup cars ran cats.

I am also not certain which series or cars the muffler delete section w/ the small resonator (Paul, I think you have this setup on your car) was used.

I think all the US cars were imported with full stock exhaust (cats and mufflers), correct? The canadian cars had the 4" open "Walker" exhaust installed by Canadian Pragmatics after importation.

Yes, my car came with standard catalyst and muffler.

I found one of the race mufflers on ebay several years ago, posted a photo last year, here's the post:

I don't really know how to use Photoshop, but thought these quickies came out pretty good!

I recently removed the rear carpet in my car (lifted right out, adhesive pads came off clean), and am considering removing most of the front carpeting. I think the finished interior is one of the big misleading visual cues that make my car NOT look like a "real" race car (even though it is one).

Also, I bought a bunch of race decals I didn't use, let me know if you'd like a list to see if you'd like to buy them for your car.

Is that resonator triangular or is the hole offset from center?

It is teardrop or egg shaped, shaped like a cam lobe, with the pipe centered in the lower large diameter end.

Found this image of a cam lobe, the little muffler is shaped almost exactly like this.

Saw this on ebay, too small for me, but thought someone might want it.

(Rothman's Turbo Cup polo shirt, medium)

A list of the decals would be great. Also I took my Matter rollcage out so if anyone wants pictures of anything let me know. I will post some over all shots.

Little offtopic but still, does anybody know what were the spring rates on Bilstein Escort Cup coilovers that came on 944 turbo Cup from factory?

BTW, I would leave the carpet. Most of these cars were raced in the '80s with the carpet in so why not keep it original?

I also vote to leave the carpet. The thing that makes your car so great is it's exactly the way it left the factory instead of being gutted like all the others.

Another year has gone by, I bought my car 24 years ago this weekend. (Had to update my sig today.)

Next year I'll be able to get historical license plates. Yikes!
