Default I like Pelicans...

they have great customer service, and get me my parts on time too... you'd think that having brake rotors in that funky little bill of theirs, it'd hurt their neck, but NOPE!

Yeah, I ordered some brake parts on saturday... I just logged on and looked at the "delivery estimator" and it said "ship on Thursday, arrive on Wed. Sept. 13."

my jaw dropped... I'm like "DAMN! how am I gonna get my brakes done this weekend?"

then I looked at the actual progress... THEY SHIPPED!!! 4 DAYS BEFORE THEY EXPECTED!!!

I should have the parts on friday... I'm stoked...

BTW, anyone ever use Mintex C-tech brake pads? I got a set for street/track duty... I don't care about squeeling... I wanna be able to stop on a dime and give 9 cents change...

Yeah, I love Pelican too - they have always done well for me. And if you type in pretty much any Porsche part number in the search field, they can get it, even if it is not in their online listings. Nice to get an online access to every Porsche part with prices, without having to call or email them.

Now, if they would only move out of California so I wouldn't have to pay sales tax... ;-) Oh well...

I ordered brakes from them like 5:00 on a Friday and they put the order in right away, I told them I needed them asap and they got them to me. Great customer service.

Agree with all of you, they are GREAT folks.

I found their "shipping estimator" to be way off, too. I placed two orders with them on the same day because one item was supposedly backordered. They said 7 days on the shipping for the rest of it. Well, 3 days later I had a UPS package waiting for me. Then the VERY NEXT DAY I got the "backordered" package.

They also replaced a defective decal for me free of charge...I placed a call and a few days later I got the replacement. Love it.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I've gotten so used to bad service that when a good place like Pelican comes along, I'm absolutely delighted. I like being surprised in a good way.

Geoff, it's called drop shipping. Only a few of the guys out there actually have an inventory that ships from the location you phoned it into.

Their search by part number is great.

A used part I wanted sold on ebay for $36 + $15 shipping. After I lost the bid, I looked it up in PET, then on Pelican, and it was $34.11 NEW + $7.95 priority mail shipping, I added some other hard to find parts, and the shipping stayed the same.

I've also used them to quash some project ideas. New 944 turbo S spindles are over $900 each - end of that project.

If it's an OEM part, and they can't get it, you probably won't find it new anywhere else.

They have been great so far on Porsche parts. I'm not quite as happy with the BMW side, I had a silly $3 drain plug on backorder since May...I finally gave up and had the dealer order it. Otherwise everything I've ordered has been here within 2 days...great service.

Every time I order something on a Saturday or Sunday, I get it on Tuesday afternoon. It's blows my mind! It's so much fun to get car parts in the mail on a school night...
