Here is the new shifter AGLA it was $89 ,the leather was already wrapped aroud it and glued. It is just like the stock only 20 years newer.The handles shape is the same(thats good)but it is a softer rubber handle vs stock hard plastic.Overall I am very pleased with the quality. Got it from Paragon products.

Paul, see the button below the "Reply Box" labeled "Go Advanced"? Click that, type your message then click the box below called "Manage Attachments" Upload pics....

Father2nate's way works if the pic is stored on your computer and it is easier then uploading it through rennlists upload photo and then copying link.

The way i did it (which works for any image on the internet already) is click the picture icon on the top of the reply box (not quick reply, click go advanced below the quick reply box) and there is this icon..



You click that, put the URL in , and it will place the picture in the post like I just did. Before the manage attachment feature was added, this was the only way to put images in a post....

YOu can also just type the html tags yourself, as that is all the button does,,, "[IMG]" at the front and "[/IMG]" at the back (without quotes)

All of the later shifters I've seen were like a two piece unit, where the boot doesn't come all the way up. I was thinking that the '83s were the only ones where the leather went up to the insert. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

my 85.5 has boot all teh way up.... most of them that I've seen have. I thought it was only very early cars that had the one that did not.

hmm, my car is 8/82...but I have the 1 piece. Yet I usually see "fits '84-'91" on new boots.

Looks good! Just like it would look brand new from the factory. I like the way the shift pattern is put in, no bunching of the leather. Almost impossible to do if you got just the boot and had to do it yourself. Nice!

Hey how thick was the elastic on the bottom of the boot? I got an AGLA shift boot that has an elastic of about 1/4" thick and it broke the shift boot retaining frame when I tried to slip it over. It was almost next to impossible to stretch over it. I love AGLA's quality but I was angered to see that my boot didn't even fit my car despite saying the correct year, make and model on the package.

Looks really good though man!

There is no bunching, thats why I went for it already assembled ,the few pics I saw the diys looked bunched and I knew that would always **** me off.Plus I didnt want the hassel of strechng and pulling ,glueing,all that work and crappy results if I did it.

The elastic fit about the same as stock no problems there,maybe they worked it out.
