Thanks for the 944fest
Hi all, I finally got a break and wanted to thank all involved in the 944fest here in ohio last month. I had a great time, bought some great automotive art, and even won a gorgeous Sarotoga top. Just wanted you all to know that I finally bought a car worthy of the glass sunroof: a 1994 968 Sport with 26k miles. Red over black. Putting the top in tommorow.
Again thanks to everyone

My luck is that I had Mary standing beside me when I bought mine. Now the 968.....that's another story and I did get strip searched for it! But it all got worked out in the public eye..........if you know what I mean.

Hiya Alan, welcome to the list. You were definately one of the big winners of the weekend. There were a lot of folks rubbing their lucky charms for their number to come up for the saratoga! Post some pics of where the artwork ended up, and of the new car!
Thanks again for the support!!
PS.. I'd imagine one of the things that would make a car a "Sport" or Club Sport would be the lack of a sunroof, but you never can tell!

Yeah, not to digress, but the "Sport" was the "Club Sport" that was softened by Porsche's marketing execs. It had the same wheels and lower stance as the CS, but it had more options available to add "back in".
There are a lot of Sports that have stereos, sunroofs, power windows, regular seats, etc. (even some CS cars have stereos, regular seats, etc) However they were not sold in the USA due to airbag/safety issues of the time. There have been a handfull of CS cars imported into the US since, but with significant work being done to legalize (airbags installed, etc). I know of one CS that had that work done to pass regs, then was put back to it's true CS form afterwards.
A check of the VIN# will confirm if it is a true CS or Sport.
