weight savings suggestions.

My car, weighed on a trucking scale with me not in it, was 2530lbs. I can't vouch for the accuracy of the scale.
That was with no sunroof panel in the car, no back hatch carpet, no tools, no spare/jack, and about 10 gallons of gas in it. The car had the 16" 951 fuchs on it.

In any event, I have about 180lbs off the car so far, whatever that comes out to.
Edit Actually, I forgot to add the 2 speaks and 2 trim panels to my list, as well as come up with any kind of weight savings for the SFR exhaust and smaller aftermarket cat. So, without considering the weight of the Foha spoiler I have maybe at 200lbs off the car.

AC Delete
Manual Mirrors
Manual sunroof
Rear Wiper Delete
Fully stripped interior (it has a dash, a one layer piece of carpet, which weighs about 1.5lb and Redline's Rollbar)
Sparco Pro 2000's
Hatch release delete
No spare, jack, anything in the rear
Fiberglass fenders, bumper, splitter, nose panel.
Headlight Delete
Fiberglass rear bumper
I'd be surprised if I was under 2550. Granted I have a turbo and they are a touch heavier than a 924.

My list is very similar to yours, except I still have my headlights and don't have fiberglass fenders or nose panel. I don't run with the splitter much anymore. The foglights are coming out and the brake duct system is slightly lighter than the fogs.

My list.
Manual steering (by means of nothing but power rack and shaft)
Hatch release delete
Power sunroof delete
Rear seat delete
Windshield washing system delete
AC delete
Rear wiper delete
Spare, Jack and Hatch carpet are taken out when I go for a "spirited" drive or for track time
I use this car as my daily driver and do not find anything I deleted to be inconvient. However, as Serge noted earlier, my gf doesn't like to ride in it (she doesn't like to see what is underneath the interior). Of course she sucks it up when we go somewhere and she wants attention

Whats to laugh about the k/n filter drop in....at speed my car changes from 13.2:1 to 13.8:1 with a few other small modifications to the stock box.....
hey, you don't like a/c, thats cool, i just think some people who delete it will be second guessing themselves on hot, humid days
i have manual steering, and i do love the connection i feel with the road, but most people delete to make the car faster in a straight line, which it really won't do anything for

Once the car is running again I plan on taking it to the digital scale in the city and getting it weighed.
What about fiberglass housings? That could be a nice way to take a little more weight off.

Scott hence why I said I was working on putting them back together. Still trying to figure everything out.
We'll see if Tifo gets a PM from me in a few weeks crying asking for part numbers for the 968 CS stuff.

Mike, question about the manual sunroof conversion...
How did you mount the rear catch latches to the body?...once you take the lift arm assemblies off, there is not much left. Did you fabricate a bracket for them to screw into?
Thanks,
Albert

Aribop - I've been looking for mirror parts for a few weeks now (see earlier post). I notice you have some mirrors on ebay. Any chance of a Rennlist discount?
