well, after a bunch of hassle figuring out what order we needed to lay on the new paint, we finally figured it out, just wait until the whole car looks like this

heh it takes for...ev....er. originally my dad thought black was one of the cheaper colors to buy. well, we gave the paint people the color code, and just started off with a pint for now. (will probably need 2 more quarts for the rest of the car) $40 for the pint. of just black, not to mention any of the clear, rudecers, hardeners, or primers and sealers..
im having fun though, and so far, it looks like the outsome will be worth it.
any defects in the nose panel are small enough that the camera cant pick them up, so im happy

You where at the fest correct? If you sawbloodraven's car (Tim) you saw satin black metallic. Mine is L Y9Y as well.
They are pretty weird, when you first see one you think its a black car that needs some paint work. Once you get close and the sun hits it, you see the metallic flake and it looks alot better.
