All I have is a WFHG, and I didn't have even the slightest worry until now.

I believe the k26 compressor is well outside it's efficiency range at that boost level. After about 18 psi the loss from the extra heat generated rises faster than the power gain from increased flow. So even if it's tuned correctly the heat is overwhelming for the engine and will be seen in increased EGTs.
Rennlist Thread about breaking blocks with properly tuned 25psi.

Campeck, spell check your posts, it would make them much easier to read. You dont have a turbo. You are repeating information that others have posted on rennlist and in other places, some of it which also came from a secondhand source. This is how misinformation is spread in forums. Please stick to real information that you have seen with your own eyes.
I think a restrictor like David posted would be one of the first things to try, in hopes of finding a quick fix. It is a lot easier than removing the cam box, head, or turbo.

ok mark. The lindsey can doesnt vent to atmo. ( note that all but one or two of my posts dealed with just the catchcan.)
And please don't say my info is "second hand" cause I can assure you its not. ( I work on my own car too, you know). Sorry about the spelling.
(and again. if she has the venturi. That amount of oil is nothing. I had double that on my throttle body when my catch can hadn't been installed. And my car has never burnt oil. Does that count as seeing it with my own eyes?

WesM, I do indeed have the factory K26/6. It makes ~22-23psi in the high 3000's, holds it until about 4500 where it starts to taper off rather linearly to about 8-9psi at redline. Gives one wacky torque curve, and makes it hard to handle at the auto-x. I plan to get some new chips, and an EBC and dial it back down to maybe 15-17psi. Get it tuned right, and it should be faster than it is now at 22-23psi.
Other than that, I completely agree with a recirculating catch can (or however you want to name it). They are imperative on these cars. Key thing is start with the basics. Hopefully it's something simple and inexpensive that was overlooked (as if it ever is )

Had a pretty day today and my son and I pulled the turbo. Not pretty. Guess it's off to the rebuilder. Anyone ever hear of Durabilt in Bradley, IL? They're only an hour away from me and I've read some decent things about them.
Anyway, the pics:
