Unhappy HELP!

I just made it home. I was driving around town. No problems. Then it seemed as though it was getting a little harder to shift. Then, it got to a point where it seemed as though the clutch was out, but the clutch still seemed to disengage the engine from the tranny. I had to put the clutch in and rev the motor to get the car to go into 2nd gear. Luckily, I did not hit any red lights. The tranny is making a lot of noise when I am in gear and I let off the gas. I have never had any problems with the transmission or the clutch. The car has 101,920 miles. This could not have come at a worse time. I don't know what I am going to do. Does anyone have any ideas what this could be?
Thank You

Ditto. The clutch on our E24 BMW went the same way. Sounds like it's time for a clutch job.

Wolfe, If yours is like mine, there is an inspection hole to the rear by the firewall behind the starter. wipe the inside of the inspection hole with a rag and look for black chunks and dust, pay attention if there is a rubber smell.

It's not always the miles- rubber ages.

Sorry. I figured out how to add a pic and put my location in, however I don't know how to put it my car type so that it always shows up in the bottom of my posts. Car is a 1987 924S. Guards Red. 5 speed. No sunroof. No rear wiper. Factory forged Fuchs 16" flat wheels. Factory 23mm front bar. Factory 14mm rear bar. Rare factory turbo rear wheel flares/mud guards? And then a lot of stuff I have done to it. I have been a Porsche fan since 1968. Member of the local Porsche club and the local Mercedes-Benz club.
Any help on the car problem would be appreciated. I recently moved my family out here and I am trying to get my real estate career started. So I don't have a lot of $$. I have had the 924 since 1996. I have only put 22,000 miles on it since I bought it.

Can you bleed the system?

Also, I am willing to bet 10-1 odds your springs on the disk are shot.

Anyone else have any ideas? I have had a slight leak in the master or slave cylinder. Not sure which. I have to add brake fluid every 3 weeks or so. If it is a clutch, any ideas on how many $$? Does anyone still make a rubber centered clutch?

Replace the clutch with a newer type- the rubber centered arent available anymore- Check Paragon for pricing.
