Default Flat black spray paint

Hi,
I'm looking for a good flat black spray paint for my 914 targa top. I know this is a 944 board but I haven't had much success on the 914 board and I do have a 944. The flat black I've used goes on uneven and it's splotchy look drives me nuts!
Thanks!

Are you doing multiple thin coats?

Sounds to me like your spray method and not a problem with the paint. You should be holding the can ~12" away and move across the entire surface at an even pace while keeping the same distance then when you come back you should be overlapping ~50%. Key is to keep the same speed going across and the same distance. When you get done you should turn 90 degrees and do the panel the other way and that should cover up and missed areas. IMO it's a lot easier to do with a spray gun than a rattle can since your finger doesn't get tired and you have full control the whole time.

No can. Cans are good for slim not so obvious pieces.
Like the side undertrim on turbo's.

yeah you need to spray that w/ a real gun dude. OR smooth it out and paint it body color.

Best flat black (in a can) Hands down...
Go to your local Harley-Davidson dealer. Satin black, or Matte black (both available) About $12 a can. Very good paint. I've painted lots of stuff w/H-D rattle cans... One of the *few* items @ the H-D dealership that's actually worth a damn..
