Andrew - How did you fix the blinker auto-return? I am suffering the same issue in the 968 and feeling pretty cheezy doing the manual-cancel thing...

Thanks in advance,

I'm sure if you post on turbo, someone has a bypass valve (I am assuming you mean diverter) for cheap/free I'm sure. I have two old stock ones, but one i know for sure is blown, and I don't know about the other one, or where it is.

Thanks in advance,
if you take the steering wheel off, you can see on the back of the wheel there is a black plastic tab about an inch wide. and then on your little switch mechanism behind the wheel where your blinker is, there is a little white tab that sticks out when you hit the blinker one way or the other. more than likely the black tab is worn down and doesnt quite touch it anymore, i wrapped mine with electrical tape about 4 times to build it back up. works like new. although i have kinda developed a habit of canceling the blinker manually....

I cant take credit for this though, found it over on Bruce's webpage from Arnnworx tools. Blinker repair

I am considering going...car is going back to OEM clubsport rims, had them new porsche silver powdercoated, looking for a competent local tire installer to mount the new Yoko R compound DE tires, trying to figure out how to most cleanly repair the hacked (slightly) audio harness, install either a newer Alpine unit or keep the OEM unit with eq, I need several DIN2 plugs (I think) for the speaker connections, trying to figure out putting back the damn lock in the glove compartment, along with all associated door hardware, recharge the air conditioning (or my wife will never set foot into this car again)
The most important preparation that I need to do before going to 944FEST is build the new 8x10 shed thats currently sitting in a big box in my driveway so I can get the 944 out of the garage !
Its a beautiful warm day here.

PS/edit - Thanks Matt

I went to get an oil filter today, and the parts dept. at the local dealer is closed... looks like that's Monday.

Got the turbo I rebuilt in on Tuesday and Thursday, finished up buttoning it up Friday, some quick checks this AM and it seems to be running well and even more amazingly holding oil! Cleaned it, spent nearly 2 hrs scraping off tree sap from 2 months of hibernation, then polished and waxed it. Unfortunately, it's going to have to be rubbed out on top, as it's real ugly still.

Also have to I think rotate the tires, swap in some nice interior bits from Tony K (thanks!), including some speaker relocations, and do some trial runs, make sure the turbo's happy. That's about all it'll likely get.

Steve, I will mount them for you for free and as 9fifty1 can attest I am quite competant. Just PM me with when you will have time.

Michelle, I have a starter on the floor if you end up needing to borrow it. It works fine, just in case. I am in town this week.

Have fun at the Fest.

Are you bringing both or just your 8v?
