Default ONCE AGAIN need help ASAP

ok i put the car back together which was the manifold and ic pipes nothing really to much. Started the car and it drove fine. then parked it and the next morning took it for a drive again. it drove fine all day long and i got on it a litle bit and started popping which i figure was just running rich. Ok then i drove it a little bit more and it died out. Everytime i try giving it gas it just wants to act up and die out. I kept starting the car trying to get it in the driveway but it would die out trying to get it up. After a while of trying the car will not start anymore. it starts like normal but dies out instantly. So it sounds llike fuel or vaccumm lines. i checked all my vaccumm lines and they look fine? Any ideas what could be wrong.

Vacuum leak probably if its related to manifold or IC pipes. Check the rubber boots.

i checked and seen nothing. Another weird thing was that the temp gauge would peg out when i turned the car off and now it doesn't do that? i know it sounds like ground related. I tried starting the car again and same thing it starts then turns off. I know my injectors are leaking think this can do anything? they leak when the car is off too. Could have they failed?

Sounds to me like it's either a lean/rich fuel problem, or an air problem. Since you just put the intake back on and such, I would suspect intake gaskets leaking air or something first.

that is what i thought too devon but i tightening everything back down and it seems fine. i know one of the bolts are stripped but it is still pretty tight. The thing that is weird was that the car was running fine until i got on it a little bit and it started backfiring etc.. i was reading a post by rich sandor with the same exact thing that was happening to him. Also when i start the car up in the morning it runs like **** for a little while because i think the injectors are leaking alot of fuel down there when the car is off and it is flooded. does anyone know if racetronix have a warranty on their injectors/

Tightening down may not solve a bad intake gasket... FWIW.

The backfiring does make it sound like fuel, so perhaps fpr, or fuel damper issues? I would get the leaky injector thing cleared up before you go buying more parts... Do you have your old injectors to try?

well good news i got it started and up in the garage. the #1 spark plug wire was loose. the car idles fine but it keeps wanting to die out when i give it gas driving it done the street or up the driveway. i had to rev it up and pop the clutch to get it in the drive way cause it is on a hill. what does it sound like now. and no i don' thave any injectors to test out. they are 75# inectors in there now.

well i leave for las vegas tuesday so i will deal with the dam car again when i get back home. i think it has to do something wtih the injectors but unsure at this point. I am open to ideas just throw them out there so i can test them and see if that is it.

i am not running resistors on these injectors does that matter?

i dont think its fuel related.i had the same thing happen to me.i just finish deleting all the purge valve, venturi, and isv.it started fine drove fine, when i got on boost and changed gears it popped alot and then died out.so i pull over to see what happen and the isv to ic pipe hose came off.so u might have a really big vac. leak.

it actually seems like that symptom so i checked all the vaccum lines and they seem to be fine. of course i can see nothing under the manifold but the only thing under there really is the ISV but i hear the car can run without one.

if you have leaky injectors or seals-which isnt good to begin with- you also have a vaccum leak. It is pulling air around the injectors. I would test your injectors, get four glass jars and pull your rail and put each one in a jar. have someone crank and check that each one is spraying well..you could also get a $5 noid light from the parts store and test the signal to each injector. Put some new rennbay seals in there and try starting it again. You def dont want to catch your car on fire for some $12 seals.

If you are leaving on a trip, I'd go ahead and send the injectors to Witchhunter for cleaning, matching, and rebuild. For $12/ea it's a steal and turnaround time for me was only 3 days. It made a world of difference.
