Default 944 online..Opinions..is now my worst online experience ever!!

How are they to deal with, how is the availability of their parts. Any feedback would be great. Thanks

I have purchased both a rebuilt transaxle and a rebuilt alternator from Ian and been very pleased with the products and service. On the rebuilt side, they seem to try to keep pricing in a range that allows us to keep cars going, even when the car's market value has become quite low.

In fact, when my 944 spit it's ring and pinion... Ian's team pulled one together for me on the bench, built it, and got it to me in days. Nice.

They're A-OK in my book. No major issues and pretty good pricing.

Yeah their pricing seems to be awesome. I usually buy a lot from Zims because of their prices but it looks like 944 online has them beat.

I've bought a lot from Ian...very good store. That's the first place that I go when I need something.

I liked the old website better...I could find what I needed easier, but I just don't like change. The new site is much more thorough...

Ian is very trustworthy, if you pay for something, you will get it. Never had a problem. I will say that he is very inconsistent with his pricing, one part can be a certain low price one day, and a month later the price is doubled....very odd. I like his online store, because it ships from texas (worldpac i believe) and gets here in a couple days, versus when i use to call Ian and order from him, and it takes a week coming from florida.

944online is a good place to buy from (as always shop around at pelican, paragon, etc. for best prices).

What I've found is that 944online carries a better stock but their focus is on OEM parts and not aftermarket.

Two thumbs up for Ian and 944online.
There's half a world in between me and Ian (I live in Norway), and you'd think it is insane, but many times Ian will beat my Norwegian Porsche parts suppliers both in terms of pricing and delivery/shipping. He is not always the cheapest when you compare him to paragon/pelican etc, but he is usually not so much off that I will bother with shopping around.

Worst 944 store EVER!!!
What a horrible experience I had with these jokers. I ordered my parts 2 1/2 weeks ago, I notified them that it was important that I receive the parts for this weekend as I took Friday off work and wanted to have my car running for Saturday. A week went by and I still hadnt received my package (paid extra to have it shipped FedEx air. I call them, the moron there that I was dealing with neglected to tell me that one of the parts I ordered was not in stock. It would have been nice if they would have told me that day so I could have cancelled my order and gotten them from somewhere else. Anyways 4 days go by and IM calling every day to see if that part had come in. It finally came in last Tuesday. The same dumbass I was dealing with promissed me it would be at my door by Thursday at 5pm. Today is Friday I practically waited by the front door all day waiting for this part. I got pissed off and called FedEx and they told me the package wont be here until Monday!!!!! That is the last time I ever order from that place, Zims kicks ***, I shoudl have stayed with them.....Huge thumbs down to 944online.

I've done that kind of deal a few times with Ian - "I gotta have that part in two days so I can do the job this weekend". Always came through. Unbelievably convenient. I email him the parts list, call and order when I get the quotes. I don't really use the website. Too bad you had such bad luck. You're missing out if you can't deal with them from time to time.

Cheers.
