Default Snub Nose with the black bumpers

Im thinking about doing this mod and leaving the bumpers on. Anyone have pics of this mod with the bumpers still on.

Find a light pole and gently accelerate till you have colapsed your shocks. I have one that I can send you if you would like

Rich...how ya' doing? Did you catch this thread? Got a pic of your car in it....The only one I managed to snap!

BTW: Here's the car with the new spacers. I remember you wanted to see how it looked before/after: (before is in my avatar)

I drilled a tiny hole in both of my shocks. Installed the bumper with them extended, then pushed the bumper in (car up against wall method, just a LIGHT clutch slip). I think I have to pull the bumper back out to get the bolts out.

Yeah, killer spacers hunh? Car handles like a go-kart.

I have two good N/A front bumper shocks.

After you do this mod, and decide you don't like it, let me know and I would be happy to sell them to you.

After you compressed the shocks did you plug the hole in the shock somehow? Or just left it?

Here's a question...are the rubber pads on the bumper bolted on, or glued? How do you remove the bumper pads, and what's left behind after you take them off?

They're held on by three bolts molded into the rubber with 10mm nuts on the inside. Just reach up underneath and you can feel them. Only thing left when you remove them is three little holes and possibly a good example of your car's REAL original shade depending how much sun fade you have.

Matt, I've seen a few people do this but not on a 944. On the 924/924S it can give the bumper a much cleaner look (although admittedly it detracts from the protection in a low-speed impact). But here's a good example from a fellow 924board.org poster:
