Default Upcoming New parts for sale!!!! We need ur ideas

me and my friend that owns a machine shop are thinking about going into business. I thought i would post this thread for people to ask what kind of products they would want for better prices. I am sure i can beat everyone prices on everything since i can do all the machining since they are owned by them. Basically they make make any gaskets, bolts, anything really out of metal like camber plates etc.. Post up some responses so i can get this idea on the road I plan on asking John D's approval if this becomes more then a idea
Thanks

What I would really like are metal door sills. Not the ones that are often on ebay that go in the jams, I want ones that replace the plastic piece that holds the carpet to the floor, that damn plastic piece always breaks. I'm talking about the ones in this picture that say "Porsche", though I don't care if they say anything (although actually it would be nice).

see if i can get orders bigger then just 1 or 2 people it will be alot easier to make these things. of course if i can only get a couple i can still probably do it. Kevin would u like these in brushed aluminum like the lower one or polished like the top?

I would prefer the brushed, but to tell you the truth I would be so happy to get a set of these that I would just change the finish myself if I didn't like it. I can always polish them myself or brush them with some fine sandpaper, just make me a set!

How much would these things end up costing?

sunvisor clips!

Don't need 'em myself (touch wood), but the amount of posts on it over time has to be BIG!

I am in for some if the price is resonable.

Just some thoughts:

(i) replacements for the interior (temp and fan controls or glove compartment latch) for a late 944. Not ones that look like they belong in a Honda, but classy ones. I am sure most would agree that our dashes could use a little modernizing. I purchased a set made for a 911 off of ebay and I am still working with a dremel to try to make them fit right;

(ii) a DIN pocket for boost gauges (simply an alternative to Lindsay and others), seeing as though there are quite a few posts from people who have difficulty making these themselves for some reason; and

(iii) its been tried before, but if someone comes up with an alternative to the Saratoga roof - I am sure they can make some serious cabbage -

I'm looking forward to working with Daniel on these new projects. He's got great enthusiasm and insight on design.

Sunroof latch clips, the stock ones always get brittle and break.

I would like 4 aluminum spacers, shaped like an intake manifold gasket, 5mm thick.

WHEEL SPACERS!!!! Particularly ones that aren't $400 (or more) for a set of four.

What about vented header panels? As in - send yours in and you guys punch the holes for the vents in?

Pretty much anything plastic. It breaks and is generally a crappy material for automobiles. Sunroof gears anyone?
